Each age group at Discoveryland has its own room, which includes play areas, reading corners, art and scientific discovery stations (except the infants), a variety of toys and supplies, and access to each group’s own separate outdoor playground. In addition, each room is furnished with special features designed with the needs of its age group in mind.

Caterpillar Room

Built especially for infants learning how to get around on the ground, this room features an extra-padded floor and softer carpet. This is the only room with a separate food preparation area for babies’ eclectic feeding needs, and a special table provides a place where infants can sit up securely to enjoy their snacks. The nap area is furnished with sturdy, individual cribs and a comfy rocking chair for infants who need to be snuggled to sleep. Instead of grass, the well-shaded outdoor play area is covered with soft artificial turf that can’t be pulled up and eaten.

Monkey Room

The toddlers' room is wide open to encourage first-time walkers to get up and try out their legs. A collection of floor toys is available, and an easy-to-climb nursery gym with a gently sloping slide provides hours of excitement.

Dizzy Dino Room

Since two year olds are learning to develop their attention spans and mental abilities, the Dizzy Dino Room contains a job area where children can learn to perform simple tasks like sorting and stacking. It also contains a fully stocked make-believe area with dress-up clothes and other objects for imaginative play.

Butterfly Room

The three year olds' room features an extra large and comfy reading area where first-time readers can sit and enjoy a good book. The room also features a building area to teach structural concepts and a large motor area where the kids can practice their physical skills.

Ladybug Room

The room for four and five year olds features stations where kids can start learning essential school skills—a reading and language area, a practical skill station, and a math area with counting toys and number games. It also contains the facility’s most engaging make-believe area, with a large wardrobe and a furnished playhouse.
